Officer In Charge (OiC)

Sub-Lieutenant (SCC) John Barnes RNR

The Officer In Charge is responsible for the training and discipline of all members of the unit. He has overall responsibility for the running of the unit, its staff and cadets.

First Lieutenant

Chief Petty Officer (SCC) Keir Harper

Second in Command, the First Lieutenant directs the day to day operation of the unit by organising the duty, routine systems and managing the unit calendar. The role also administers discipline on behalf of the OiC; only serious cases will be brought to the OiC.

Unit Training Officer

Sub-Lieutenant (SCC) Luke Harper RNR

Draws up effective and enjoyable training programme. The training officer also looks after cadet course applications and organises cadet promotion.

Assistant Training Officer

Petty Officer (SCC) Emily Smith

Assists the UTO with drawing up effective and enjoyable training programmes, and promotion of courses, events and other opportunities.

Unit Administration Officer

Civilian Instructor (SCC) Gary Braddock

Looks after all records, supports the CO, 1st LT and Training Officer, monitors subscriptions and looks after BTEC Administration.

Officer in Charge (Junior Section)

Petty Officer (SCC) Angela Fairbairn

Is responsible for the training of the Junior Sea Cadet section to ensure that all training is carried out in accordance with the Junior Sea Cadets Syllabus.

RMC Detatchment Commander

P/Sergeant (SCC) Kate Fullen

The Detachment Commander in in charge of the units Royal Marines Cadets. They oversee training and education of the detatchment.

Port Division

Petty Officer (SCC) Emily Smith

DIVISIONAL OFFICERS

The Sea Cadets are split into Port and Starboard Divisions, with the RMC and Juniors making up their own divisions.

Divisional Officers are responsible for upcoming high standards of uniform during inspections, and foster a healthy level of competition during Divisional Challenges. The division with the most wins over the course of the year, is presented with the Divisional Trophy.
